Demand Driven Technologies is currently seeking talented software developers to join our engineering team and participate in the design and development of our SaaS/PaaS offerings. Candidates should be located in or around Seattle, WA, or Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyze data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas
  • Serve as the resident expert in efficient data retrieval and manipulation and interface techniques.
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture for enterprise big data and analytics in a cloud based big data environment.
  • Build the infrastructure and workflows required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Troubleshoot Azure Data factory jobs
  • Create tools and processes to keep sensitive data separated and secure across clients.
  • Monitor and validate data in Azure Data lake, work to resolve issues, discrepancies
  • Work to improve data lake processes
  • Implement internal process improvements in data analytics: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Seek enhancements to make the system more reliable without human intervention
  • Improve pro-active alerting for failures, and problem resolution
  • Monitor and validate data in Azure Data lake, work to resolve issues, discrepancies
  • Work with multiple vendors to determine root cause or fix, and work with vendors to ensure fixes are in place
  • Work with product owners and business team to understand requirements and resolve issues.
  • Respond to production issues or problems with our existing products.
  • Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.
  • Design, develop, amend, and optimize applications and databases to meet enterprise requirements
  • Develop database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments.

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience developing robust ETL interfaces between system
  • Strong working experience with ERP systems and tables
  • Experience with Azure & Azure Data Factory
  • Expert T-SQL skills for complex stored procedures and strong SQL server query performance tuning
  • Work with business users on report variations in PowerBI and excel
  • Deliver minor PowerBI functions from the Data warehouse

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Bonus Points

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and computer science foundations, such as memory management, big-o notation, and algorithm optimization.
  • Knowledge of the .NET Framework, Azure Web Frameworks, Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, MVC.
  • Knowledge of processes and concepts like Git, DevOps, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Integration is a major plus.
  • Expertise in writing clean, organized JavaScript while utilizing related frameworks like jQuery and Angular.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, such as MVC, Factory, Singleton, etc. and experience applying them in n-tier architectures.
  • Experience building mobile applications (personal “just for fun” experience counts) is a major plus.
  • Experience in unit-testing and continuous integration.
  • Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
