Demand Driven Technologies is looking for a product owner to grow our Scheduling and Execution product offering to continue leading the market in DDMRP supply chain solutions.
Responsibilities
You will need to work across all departments of our company as well as with partners and customers to provide them with the tools they need to manage manufacturing scheduling and execution. You will work closely with the rest of the product team to execute a strategic vision for the company. You will be expected to come up to speed quickly and take ownership of Scheduling and Execution to help integrate artificial intelligence (AI) tools into the product.
- Represent stakeholders including customers and implementation partners to ensure consistent communication and timely product delivery
- Write a specification document that Engineering can turn into a clean and effective solution
- Curate a product backlog to ensure priority and delivery during a release cycle
- Lead a team on multiple concurrent project deliverables
- Learn fast and handle a dynamic startup culture
- Make decisions with imperfect information
- Gain certification in DDMRP methodology
- Work across departments including sales, consulting, engineering, and quality assurance
- Assist Engineering with triage and priority of defects and technical debt
- Work with Quality Assurance to provide use cases and clarification on feature design
- Clarify customer or partner need and translate that into a simple solution
- Present new features to internal and external stakeholders including the consulting team and customers
- Travel for conferences, to visit other offices, and to visit customers may be required a few times a year
Requirements
Experience Required
- Experience as a business analyst, consultant, product owner, or product manager in a software company
- Production planning and or manufacturing execution subject matter expert (SME) – understanding of MRP, capacity constraints, shop floor production, and materials handling
- Solid math background with proficiency in analysis using excel, database tools, or statistical modeling
- Understanding of software development cycle and methodologies
- Proven track record of project deliverables
- Experience producing Product Requirements Document (PRD), Software Requirements Specification (SRS), or other specification documents
- Business system experience such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Business Intelligence (BI), Point of Sales (POS), supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, forecasting, or other inventory management systems
- Understanding of multi-national manufacturing processes including sales, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Jira, DevOps, SalesForce, MSProject, Smartsheet, or other issue and project tracking software
- Agile scrum experience
- Knowledge of SQL or fundamentals of databases
- Project management or programming experience
- Understanding of DDMRP methodology or Theory of Constraints (“The Goal” by Eliyahu Goldratt)
